The film narrates the transformative impact of a celestial event that reintroduces fertility and hope to a barren region. This celestial phenomenon brings these solitary lives together, offering a shared glimmer of hope amidst their respective struggles. "EXILES" is a story of resilience, serendipitous meetings, and the birth of unity in a landscape that had forgotten the meaning of the word.
Tomas Kamphuis
Writer and director, Tomas Kamphuis, possesses an insatiable curiosity for individuals diverging from the norm—adventurers and rebels. Born in the Netherlands and now residing in Portugal, he has a background in music and editing. In his work, spanning fiction, commercial, documentary, and short film, he intricately integrates a unique rhythm into each scene. From his documentary experience, he injects a sense of sincerity and humanity into both conceptual and fictional worlds.
