The Impact Fashion Show (formerly Fair Trade Fashion Show) is one of the leading sustainable fashion events in Los Angeles. Started in 2015 by stylist and activist Sica Schmitz, we are a volunteer-run non-profit now entering our fifth year, with a new name and even bigger mission.
Our annual gathering features not only the much-anticipated fashion show but also inspirational speakers and panelists, a curated, free public pop up marketplace of artisan fashion and plant-based food, and mindfulness activities from yoga to textiles recycling.
We bring a uniquely positive, solutions-oriented approach to the many challenges in the fashion industry. In the past we have focused on themes from supporting women in the Congo to raising over $31,000 to fight human trafficking, bringing together innovative companies and dedicated individuals to create a fashion industry that is safe for people, animals, and our planet.
