One (trailer)

“ONE,” is a sustainable fashion environmental short, a collaboration between indigenous, and non-indigenous filmmakers and designers. Through the art of storytelling, this film brings the imagination of a young indigenous girl to life, as she sits by the campfire, reading the book “One = People + Planet”. A story inspired by the sacred relationship between indigenous peoples and mother Earth. Viewers are transported through the dream catcher to witness the elements that inspire the art of design. Fashion doesn’t simply exist, it is grown from the land, harvested from the sea, tempered by fire and tested against the wind. This film is a reflection of how critical the circular structure of sustainable fashion impacts us all from cradle to grave, reminding us that what we take out of the earth is just as important as what we put back into it. “One”, is our attempt to creatively remind viewers of where we come from, the impressions and impacts we make, and ultimately, embrace the changing world of fashion.
