I Think My Plant Can Talk
This fashion film for CHI's collection tells the story of a journalist reporting on a scientist's breakthrough in discovering that plants can produce sounds through their xylem, which transports water. However, she faced difficulties in decrypt the sounds she detected. Determined to overcome this challenge, she immersed herself in nature with her sound detecter for inspiration. Along the way, she encountered an arrogant gardener who claimed to talk to her plants and understand their thoughts. The film takes a bizarre, pseudo-scientific approach to depict a world where plants have their own thoughts. However, nature tells a different story to each person, and we must find the answers ourselves.
