Gang Gang

Urumi is a folk instrument typically played by the Dalit – ethnic group subjected to untouchability. The drum is widely believed to possess supernatural and sacred powers. The performance of specific beats on the Urumi may induce spirit possessions or Trance.

Inspired by the music of the past, this fusion of Bharatanatyam – an Indian classical dance originated in the state of Tamil Nadu – with modern beats, brings a new remix to the popular folk music.
