Eva Zuo

Eva Zuo is a Chinese director/editor based in Los Angeles, California with extensive experience in commercial, fashion films and music videos.

Born in Shanghai, China in 1995, Eva grew up among watercolors, piano, guitar, ballet and Latin dancing. She was the top science student, but she chose to embrace her pursuit of aesthetics and boundless imagination. In 2013, she began her journey as an art student in School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong.

In Hong Kong, Eva kept searching for means to combine all her talents by exposing herself to multiple forms of art. She learned motion graphics and VFX, image processing and electronic music production. While living in Hong Kong, she sang and played keyboards in rock bands, led a street dance team and performed frequently, on and off campus.

Finally, Eva found her career goal in directing, editing and music composition: She edits with strong sense of music and rhythm, and is also an expert in color grading – all in the service of engaging audiences, selling concepts and telling stories!

Moving to Los Angeles 2017, Eva began the American phrase of her career in film production, commercials, fashion films and music videos. Meanwhile, her electronic pop song “It’s the Storm” and its music video led to a job offer from the Chinese reality TV series “Rave Now 2018.” Subsequently, she produced and performed music for the series for 4 months as the youngest singer-composer in the series.

Eva not only speaks Mandarin and English, but also Cantonese and Japanese. Her multi-discipline, culture background forms a unique aesthetic and creative mindset.

Eva graduates from Art Center College of Design in Fall 2019 with a MFA in Film Production.
