Lin Sun

Lin Sun is graduated from Art Center College of Design (ACCD) Film Directing major. He works directly with screenwriter Ross LaManna (Rush Hour series), director Bobby Roth (Prison Break, Lost). Lin's work has been nominated and won awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Editing, and Best Photography at several film festivals. At the age of seven, Lin was deeply inspired by Jackie Chan, leading him directly to the film industry. At the age of 15, Sun Lin shot his first short film and served as a screenwriter, director, actor, and editor. After that, he knew he wanted to be a director. In 2015, he went to the United States for further study and pursued his dream of filmmaking. His short film works gained popularity leading to scholarships from the ArtCenter Film Department and Huace Film and Television Corporation (one of the largest film companies in China). In 2018, Lin collaborated with Xu Jiao (CJ7,2008) in his film “AI-Pocalypse”. He directed the sci-fi short film, winning the Best Asian-American Jury Award from the American Directors Guild (DGA Student Festival), the Best Sci-Fi Award from the Los Angeles Film Awards and the Independent Film Awards, and was officially selected for the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, Chicago International Type Film Festival, North Loughwood Film Festival, Fargo Science Fiction Film Festival, and Jelly Film Festival. In 2019, he and Hollywood screenwriter Ross La mana and Bobby Ross flew to San Francisco, to work with Samsung's Korean Product Design Team and European Management Team. Lin wrote and created storyboards helping Samsung promote its next-generation products. Lin has directed more than ten short films and commercials since 2014. He has won dozens of international film festival awards, has extensive experience in filming and commercial negotiation, and believes that film is a bridge linking national cultures. He is eager to make his own contributions to the world of film through his combination of traditional Chinese elements and American storytelling.
