Social Media Manager (University Credit)

In preparing for our 3rd edition of LAFF, we are seeking a talented and connected Social Media Manager intern to start immediately. Our theme for 2020 is DIVERSITY. 

We’re using fashion, film, innovation, and retail to bring people together. Showcasing films featuring themes of fashion, beauty, culture, and lifestyle, bringing great minds together and share their ideas we’re advocating for an open, creative and inclusive society. For though we be different, we are but the same.

If you are interested in obtaining social media experience within consumer lifestyle/branding, fashion and beauty, special event or talent relations we encourage you to apply!

We expect you to be:

  • English speaker (other languages are a plus as our theme is diversity)

  • Create original compelling social that fits the voice of the festival while engaging the audience

  • Write copy that is highly creative and imaginative with a descriptive and engaging style

  • Post approved content and engage with the audience and related accounts while maintaining the fest’s voice and a high level of accuracy

  • Attend events and social activations, and provide support as needed

  • Collaborate with other teams (e.g. Sales, Partnerships, Film, etc.) when applicable

  • Stay updated and in the know on all things digital, including trends on social media and applications

  • Exhibit proficiency with Instagram, Vimeo, YouTube & Facebook insights, analytics, etc.

  • Participate in a group brainstorms

  • Serve in a support capacity across a variety of projects

  • Exhibit professionalism when dealing with clients

  • Consistently meet deadlines and communicate effectively internally and externally
