Unveiling Fashion: A Conversation About Fashion and Sustainability

The DC Sustainable Fashion Collective is excited to announce our inaugural sustainability conference, Unveiling Fashion: Conversations About Fashion and Sustainability on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the GW University Museum and Textile Museum. It is the first of its kind in the Washington, D.C. area. Join us for a day of frank conversations about the negative impact of the fashion industry on consumers, garment factory workers, and our environment.

The day kicks off with a keynote address by Lauren Fay, Executive Director, Fashion Revolution USA. The full program features discussions with labor activists, fashion industry, environmental, and economic experts, and government officials about the current state of the industry, where we want to move towards in the future, and how you can make impactful changes in your lives. Additionally, there will be a special presentation by Marci Zaroff, Founder & CEO, Metawear Organics.

Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to eat, drink, and network with your fellow attendees and speakers at a Happy Hour Book Signing Event at Shopkeepers DC Gallery. Marci Zaroff will be signing copies of her new book, ECOrenaissanceThis event is included in your ticket price.
